  • We Own and maintain the park at Old Hanover Road and Littlestown Pike
  • Our club pays the electric bill for the street lights in Silver Run and Union Mills(Funded in part by generous contributions from our community)
  • We fund the George I. Bemiller and John Leister Scholarships(Two scholarships awarded annually to local youth to further their education)
  • Assist and support the blind and visually impaired locally and nationally.(Helen Keller called the Lions her "Knights of the Blind")
  • Provide a wide assortment of medical equipment for use by local families when needed
  • Provide assistance to members of the community whenever we are able and our services are requested

  • George I. Biemiller Scholarship Award to David Robinson who will attend McDaniel College in the fall.
  • John C. Liester Scholarship Award to Allison Horn who will attend Millersville College in the fall.
  • The recipients and their parents attended the meeting and thanked the Club. Lion President Ann presented each member with a certificate of appreciation or an award for his or her contribution to the Club. Past Dist. Gov. Carl Welsh accompanied by his wife Lion Anna Welsh inducted the Club's new officers. http://www.silverrununionmillslions.com/
